Background
Born from a global firestorm of nurses, allied health professionals, and the general public, Show Me Your Stethoscope (SMYS) is an organization dedicated to raising the voices, concerns, and care of people in the nursing profession. With more than 650,000 members in its private Facebook community, it’s time to take SMYS from a motivated force to a powerhouse professional organization.
Challenge
SMYS is a digital-first, grassroots community - and the website needs to convey the vast and powerful community within SMYS. By refreshing the brand and website to better resonate with the audience, as well as better communicate the amazing work done within the community, SMYS will be able to expand its reach and digital exposure by showcasing all of the work done within the community in a creative and inspiring way.
Solution
As UX Designer I worked closely with the team lead and specialists in communications, fundraising, branding, development to provide a high-level scope of work and process overview of a branding, website redesign and communications strategy for Show Me Your Stethoscope. My focus was on a content audit of the client's current Wordpress website as well as an outline proposing an improved structure for the website architecture.
